How to Test a heater band

To ensure maximum performance from your heater band, we recommend that you test your heater band before use. After your heater band has been installed, you are not sure whether the heater band can work normally. Testing it can help you understand.

For safer testing, we recommend the following steps:

1. Turn off the power.

2. Disconnect the wires from the heater band

3. Confirm the voltage and wattage of the heater band

4. Measure the resistance between the two leads. The heater resistance should be approximated as the heater voltage squared divided by the heater wattage; the formula is R = V2 /W.

5. After determining the resistance value, then use an ohmmeter to test.

6. Ohm has a standard tolerance: resistance is 10% smaller or 5% larger, if the resistance is out of this range, then your heater is not working properly, please check the user manual or contact the seller.
